When James and Joy Maloney started full-time itinerant
ministry almost forty years ago, they had one desire: to
bring the brand of evangelism that Jesus and His apostles
offered to a world of people crying out for reality. They
desired to offer a tangible expression of Christ moving today
. to deliver more than words. In an effort to answer the cry
of the nations, James and Joy formed The ACTS Group
International (AGI).
ACTS stands for Activating, Counseling and Training in the Supernatural. AGI
was created as an apostolic vehicle to equip, impart and mentor the local
Church and its leaders in the manifestation of the supernatural. For too long
the Gospel has been presented in the form of declaration only, without
demonstration as well. Jesus. mode of evangelism (what we would call "power
evangelism") proved that words alone could never culminate in the same impact
of radically sweeping souls into the Kingdom of God. As Jesus remains the
Example for those who minister in His name today, ought He not be the same
yesterday, today and forever?
Speaking as healing revivalists in conferences and prophetic seminars across
America and abroad, the Maloneys are convinced He wants to be presented in that
same way today. They teach in Bible colleges aimed at reproducing the
sign/gift operation within the next generation. The ACTS Group International
is designed to inspire team ministry, working through the many, rather than the
one.
